The untapped potential of tourism has been significantly unearthed in the past decade with a notable influx of travelers, which has undoubtedly been a boon but has also placed a lot of regulatory pressures on the functionaries operating in the sector.
Establishment and improvement of quality tourism infrastructure, including services related to airports, railways, transport, better shopping facilities, accommodation, restaurants, recreational facilities, medical facilities, etc., have therefore taken a priority for the government. It has also necessitated coordination between government, private sectors, and voluntary organizations.
