Krishnan heads the firm’s Corporate & Commercial practice in Bangalore. With extensive experience in Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity, coupled with a proven record in architecting investor as well as promoter-controlled deals, he is highly sought-after by leading private equity funds and new-age entrepreneurs alike, for advice on complex transactions. 

EXPERTISE

Krishnan has represented renowned foreign investors, both strategic and financial, in their staggering investments into Indian companies and has represented several domestic clients in their key outbound investments. He regularly advises clients on a wide range of general corporate and commercial matters. 

Prior to joining Fox Mandal, Krishnan headed his own law firm, iCounsel, where he walked-the-deal with founders of the likes of Bundl Technologies (Swiggy – Series A), NIFE (acquired by TÜV Rheinland), LogFire (acquired by Oracle), KnowledgeHut (majority stake transferred to UpGrad), Hug Innovations (acqui-hired by Titan Industries) and Ojus-ATM (a strategic collaboration in the healthcare space).

A Fulbright fellow, Jeeva understands the pulse of complex business transactions and applies his expertise in Commercial Laws to provide valuable advice to his clients. As a partner at Fox Mandal, he heads the Chennai office and co-chairs the Corporate and Commercial practice of the firm in South and West India. He has significant experience in the energy sector, especially renewable and technology-related.

EXPERTISE

Well-accoutered with over 18 years of diverse experience, he advises on a variety of arrangements that go to the core of clients’ ongoing business. These include foreign investment in India, joint ventures, debt and equity funding of projects and companies. He also works on inbound & outbound investments, mergers and acquisitions transactions and specializes in promoter/founder/investee representation.

He further deals in structuring and advising on overseas direct investment by Indian entities and Intellectual Property laws with a specific focus on transaction IP, IP strategies and facilitation and management of technology transfers.

His expertise also encompasses advising on debt and equity funding strategies, private equity and fund investments, as well as management of compliance. In addition, Jeeva has been mentoring several entrepreneurs and start-ups, often hand-holding many of them through multiple rounds of funding and exits.

His leadership skills and entrepreneurial approach has helped him to serve as the co-chair of ABA’s International Sub Committee of Young Lawyers since 2013 and be one of the first non-American lawyers to be recognized by ABA as Ambassador for its Business Law Section. He is also a committee member of the British Business Group and a member of the renewable energy and law committees of the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He was instrumental in helping the firm win an award for its ‘corporate and commercial practice’ by the Indian Business Law Journal, where his clients commended his ‘professionalism and quality of advice’.

Rajesh’s expertise lies in providing strategic advice on Intellectual Property, Information Technology Laws, Data privacy and E-Commerce, Investment and Securities law.

He has extensively worked with tech entities in the retail, fashion, finance and defence sectors, advising them on contractual arrangements with various stakeholders and helping them cruise through regulatory and liability issues, preparing policies relating to sourcing, designing, manufacturing, product endorsements, supply chain, warehousing, imaging, content publications cataloguing and copyrights
