AIFF Appeals Committee Imposes Fine Upon Real Kashmir FC for Violation of Hero I-League Regulations

The Appeals Committee of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has directed the forfeiture of the Hero I-League match by Real Kashmir FC on account of a violation of the league’s regulations. In the match dated November 28, 2022, Real Kashmir FC played against Churchill Brothers FC. Alleging that a substitution of an extra foreign player was made in the 64th minute, in violation of the Hero I-League 2022-23 Regulations, the club’s opponent in the match, Churchill Brothers FC, filed a review petition against the order of the Disciplinary Committee.

As per the current rules, six foreign players can be registered, including one Asian player. On match days, only four players can be a part of the game (out of eleven players). Real Kashmir FC brought more foreign players during its match against Churchill Brothers FC in contravention of the same.

The committee held Real Kashmir FC in breach of the league’s regulations and imposed an Rs.60,000/- fine under Article 57.1 of the AIFF Disciplinary Code. It was also ruled that three points would be deducted from Real Kashmir FC and awarded to the Churchill Brothers FC.
